Description

For singers of all levels (Beginner, Intermediate & Advanced)                     

(Welcoming singers from all genres, including Classical, Jazz, Pop and Musical)

Get equipped with a singer's toolkit, packed with essential skills for polished, confident and audience-awing performances.

 

Explore eye-opening techniques to improve various areas of your presentation, including

  • Platform technique
  • Repertoire (befitting your voice type, character and age group)
  • Performance skills: How to present yourself on stage
  • Gaining confidence through live performance
  • Language and diction in your chosen repertoire
  • Suitable outfit for auditions/performances

Choose your own repertoire to work on during the course*, supported by a live accompanist** (on the piano). 

*Unamplified singing - no microphones used

**Participants are being asked to send a copy (.pdf or .docx) of their chosen repertoire for the course to the accompanist (email address in the course confirmation email) by no later than one week before the start of the course, to allow the accompanist to familiarise himself with the pieces.

Present your newly acquired skills and techniques in an end-of-course concert-style performance for peers, invited friends and family, showcasing the outcome of your journey with Meté and your course companions.

This course will be available at a discounted rate of €215 for students (incl. adult learners participating in AD-Group classes during the current term, as well as previous "SPOT ON" participants.

Tutors

Meté O'Reilly (Tasin) is an Internationally Known Performer whose repertoire spans Opera, Classics, Theater, Pop, and Standards (Italian and American). 

Meté O'Reilly was born in Würzburg, Germany and raised in Turkey. His professional career began in the USA, with roles in productions of Carmen (Don Jose) and Lucia di Lammermoor (Arturo). Since then, Meté has been in many leading roles in Turkey, Europe, and most recently, the United States including the lead role of Arlecchino in Pagliacci by Leoncavallo and Gastone in Verdi's La Traviata at the Opera San Jose in California. He has also represented the San Francisco City Opera by singing at Union Street and North Beach Festivals as a soloist. Recently he performed with the Aurora Mandolin Orchestra in San Francisco, and as a soloist at the renowned "Palau de la Musica" in Barcelona. 

Multi-lingual, multi-instrumentalist, multi-talented, Meté O'Reilly has collaborated with well-known conductors and coaches such as William Hicks, Joan Dornemann, Deborah Birnbaum, John Yaffe, Gaetano Colajanni, Pier Calmelet, Ibrahim Yazici, Serdar Yalcin, Gokcen Koray, Rengim Gokmen, Koji Kawamoto, Cesar Ulloa, Sheri Greenawald, Ricardo Estrada, Carmen Bustamante, Roberto Accurso, Mark Nicolson, Giacomo Aragall and Montserrat Caballé.
