Following her previous acclaimed music appreciation talks, join RIAM Director Deborah Kelleher on this lively and informative tour of the great works written for voice, from intimate song to the massive choral odyssey.
Selecting her favourites from the various genres, Deborah will offer insights, as an educator of singers, to explain the different vocal techniques that produce a rich variety of colours and effects.
Participants will learn, enjoy and be inspired by these great works in the company of fellow music lovers for one magical morning per week.
This in-person series is suitable for both music aficionados and beginners alike.
20th September - Medieval and Renaissance writing for solo and small ensemble
27th September - Oratorios, Passions and Cantatas
4th October - Epic choral works, from Tallis to Whitacre
11th October - Art Song for voice and piano
18th October - Opera and Operetta
