MAP is a dedicated opportunity for aspiring and established professionals.
The programme is designed to match up the knowledge, skills, insights and entrepreneurial capability of experienced RIAM artists with anyone seeking practical and/or strategic one-to-one advice and guidance. The mentor contributes independent, informed observation and advice to aid professional development, career guidance, or preparation towards important milestones of success

The Role of Mentor:
- Listen, advise and provide direction
- Help the individual identify problems and suggest areas for improvement
- Discuss solutions and innovative ways of improving/expanding/diversifying activity
- Help with the decision-making processes and future planning
- Share experience and knowledge
- Provide structure and context for discussion
- Offer assistance in compiling a personal/professional/business plan

- RIAM AD students
- Tertiary students
- Former RIAM Junior students/alumni
- External students (by CV and consultation interview application)
- External professionals/teachers/artists
How to apply?
- Click on "Register" and fill out your name and email.
- Tick acceptance of T&Cs and "submit".
- Follow the link in the confirmation text to an external form.
- Complete the external "MAP - Application Details Form" and "submit".
How to register / pay
- Subject to an initial fact find (in writing or through an online meeting), followed by the sourcing of a suitable mentor, and a confirmation from both parties, consenting to engage in a mentorship (with the specified duration), candidates will be sent a registration / payment* link.
- Upon completion of registration and having received payment (*min 50% deposit required), RIAM will give the "green light" for the mentorship to start.
[* In the case of a deposit payment, the balance of the fees is due after a specified number of sessions (proportional to the overall duration of the mentorship. Balance payments due will be monitored by RIAM. By registering, mentorship candidates financially commit in full to the agreed hours and related fees.)]
Scheduling and Venue(s):
- All scheduling and content of the mentoring sessions are to be coordinated in dialogue between mentor and mentee.
- Mentorship sessions can be scheduled in available rooms at RIAM (inquiries and booking via the front desk), or in suitable external venues, subject to mutual agreement (external venue hire costs are not covered by RIAM).
Mentorship Hours Fees:
- 10 hours (€1100)
- 20 hours (€2000)
- 30 hours (€2900)
