Creative Journaling for Wellbeing

Exploring Self-Discovery, Enhance Mindfulness, and cultivate Emotional Resilience through engaging Writing Prompts and Artistic Expression in a supportive group environment.

Description

This program offers an experience of discovering what creative journaling means, what it entails and how it benefits us both mentally, emotionally and creatively.  Each week we will explore the many ways of using this form of expression.  It is an experiential course.

Week 1: A Sense of Clarity

Starting with an understanding of what journalling is, why we do it and what happens when we commit to it.  Engaging in some nurturing exercises.

Week 2: Distilling my True Feelings and Needs

Discovering a means of having effective ways to process emotions and thoughts is incredibly beneficial. Delving into the range of emotions and how to express them.

Week 3/4: Shifting Creative Blocks

Delving into what it means to be blocked creatively and how we can use the journal to examine how and why this is happening.  Using exercises to encourage movement or shifts out of being stuck.

Week 5: Inner Child Work

This week involves checking in with our younger self, and how it is so important to be aware of how our inner child/teenager shows themselves in our adult lives. Play is vital this week!!

Week 6:  A Sense of Possibility

Looking at our limited notion of what we can achieve, limiting beliefs and how to nurture spontaneity.  Exercises in forbidden joys!

Week 7: Conclusion

Putting together a plan for yourself going forward regarding what means of journaling works best for you and how you can continue to support your well-being through creativity.
