Wind Quintet Coaching Classes (Adv. Level)
Chamber Music coaching classes for wind quintet musicians.
Description
Advanced Coaching for Wind Quintet
6-week intensive programme (2 hours per session)
Designed for advanced-level musicians, this professional ensemble coaching programme offers a unique opportunity to refine your expertise in chamber music performance. Tailored for wind quintets, these sessions allow musicians to enhance their technical precision, ensemble cohesion, and artistic interpretation under the guidance of a distinguished RIAM tutor.
With a flexible, non-prescriptive syllabus, participants can propose their own repertoire for a deeply personalised exploration of musical expression. The focus is on cultivating a sophisticated understanding of the chosen works and elevating your performance to captivate discerning audiences.
In addition to the 12 hours of ensemble coaching, participants will also receive a 1:1 session (60 minutes)* with their tutor, offering dedicated time to address individual challenges and receive professional mentorship for ongoing development.
These advanced coaching classes are ideal for established wind quintets, as well as individual wind players eager to collaborate with fellow professionals in an ensemble setting.
* 1:1 time with the tutor (to be scheduled individually)
Prerequisites
Participants must be 18+
These classes are suitable for former Junior RIAM students with a min. Grade 7+ in a standard wind quintet instrument (e.g. Flute, Clarinet, Oboe, Bassoon and French Horn).
Participation is subject to an application process (as part of the registration).
