Advanced Level Guitar Group Classes

Adult Division | September 2026 – April 2027

Take your playing to the next level in our Advanced Group Classes, designed for adult musicians who wish to deepen their repertoire, strengthen technical skills, and grow in confidence through regular ensemble playing.

This extended format allows participants to engage more deeply with their repertoire, benefit from sustained progress, and enjoy a cohesive and supportive group dynamic throughout the year.

 

Course Overview

From September 2026, our Advanced-level classes will move to a comprehensive 8-month programme, offering a more consistent and rewarding learning experience across the academic year.

  • Duration: September – April (8 months)
  • Total Classes: 24 sessions
  • Break: Christmas holiday period
  • Format: Weekly group lessons
  • Level: Advanced adult learners

 

Booking & Structure

Registration covers the full academic programme (Autumn and Spring terms combined).

Please note:

  • It is not possible to book individual terms separately. By registering participants commit to participate for the entire duration of the programme (September – April) and related fees.  

Fees

The fee for the 8 months subscription is €880 or €840, subject to your chosen way of payment.

  • €880 (In 2 instalments): First payment due at registration (€440) / Second payment due by Friday 16th of October (€440)
  • €840 (Reduced fee when paid in full at registration): Registrants who would like to pay in full need to contact us at adultdivision@riam.ie for a manual registration !

Class Availability

Most Advanced classes are expected to continue in their current day/time slots. (See below for available places)

 

Additional Benefits

Advanced level participants who register for the 8 month term will be given access to the RIAM Library (on the 4th floor). Please liaise with our librarian Laoise Doherty about getting your user ID.

  

Summer Term (Optional)

A shorter Summer Term (May/June) may be offered separately, subject to tutor availability and sufficient demand. Further details will be shared in early 2027.
